Marie Mason was born in California and raised in Washington. After attending college, working and raising her family in Las Vegas for 12 years, Mason relocated to the Midwest where she has worked and lived since 1978.

Mason has been passionate about drawing and painting since childhood, when her grandmother gave her a paint-by-number kit of Gainsborough’s Blue Boy. She draws inspiration from  nature, music, people, current events, her travels and, of course, her dogs.

In 1996, she founded Bella Company, a collection of t-shirts, caps, art prints, books and gifts featuring her original drawings and paintings of dogs and cats.

Marie Mason’s work has been represented in many fine art galleries, juried exhibits and private collections. She is now represented by Strecker-Nelson Gallery in Manhattan, KS.

Mason continues to create original work both on paper and canvas. Her expressive style ranges from thoughtful and subdued to upbeat and colorful. Her work could be creatively applied to a variety of products, from home décor and surface design to greeting cards, desk accessories and stationery. She also enjoys collaborating with new clients on custom art and design concepts.

Marie welcomes the opportunity to discuss licensing her artwork. If you are a retailer or manufacturer whose products might benefit from her creativity, please contact her licensing representative, Kate Marts.
